OUR STORY

After serving in the Army, George Aldrete attended LSU and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1958. Upon graduation, he was immediately hired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

During his 19 years of employment with the corps, George oversaw the repairs to pile dikes on the Red River and the fender systems at the mouth of the Mississippi River due to damage created by the tugs and barges. He was also heavily involved with the leveling and raising of existing pump stations near the waterways.

While working on the pump stations, George designed his own method for raising and leveling houses. in 1978, he left the Corps and opened Aldrete & Sons Shoring Company and provided excellent service to locals since.

George passed away in June of 2021 but left his legacy to his son, Geo, and grandson, Brad, who continue to own and operate Aldrete and Sons Shoring Company today.
